After thirty years of working with clay, this series is a massive leap in scale. These large abstract paintings map the reality of life, loss, and healing, looking at the microscopic patterns inside our own bodies.At its core, this work is about the battle between control and chaos. By forcing fluid media onto the canvas under intense pressure, I create a strict clinical tension—but the final mark requires absolute trust. The paint is pushed to its limit, mirroring the internal friction of a body fighting to heal, where you ultimately have to surrender to the unknown.The show moves from these high-stakes, systemic struggles to quiet, intimate reflections on grief and the final breath. It is a raw look at loss, ending in a peaceful return to the earth.
